PERSONALITY:
Father,
Honest,[/b] Christopher would never lie to anyone about anything. He doesn’t believe in such a thing, if someone can’t handle the truth than they are just not worthy of it. But he would never lie to anyone. He doesn’t think it’s fair. No matter how much it might hurt, he will always tell the truth.
Caring,[/b] he always cares for the people around him. He has several apartments above his diner and when someone comes to get a job he often offers them one of the apartments. Most people that work for him are not at the best place in their lives and he wants to help those people because he was like them not too long ago.
Understanding,[/b] people would talk about Christopher like he is some kind of therapist. He tends to lean over the counter in his diner and listen to whoever came in and needed to talk. He understands a lot and he doesn’t judge people for what they might have done or would still like to do.
Calm,[/b] he doesn’t get angry often. He does have a temper but it doesn’t really come out that often. He tends to stay calm and quiet and observe the situation without really doing anything. Then when he knows what to do, what is the smartest thing to do he will act. Still in a calm and reserved way.
Musical,[/b] he loves music, to listen it, to write it, to play it. He has a bass guitar in his basement and it’s where he just lets out everything. When Matthew was still alive the both of them would play there and that is something that he dearly misses.
Temper,[/b] he does have a slight temper and he's not always as sweet as he is most of the time. When it comes to his family he his terribly protective and he is the same way with his friends. He's a sweet and caring guy but if you ever piss him off you'll quickly find the side that he got from his father.
Proud,[/b] Christopher is a very proud man, not that he is arrogant or something but more that he is sincerely proud of everything that he has accomplished in his life.
Doesn’t judge,[/b] Christopher isn’t one to judge people, he wants to get to know someone before making a decision about them. Of course he gets a first impression like everyone does but he more willing to let that first impression go and let something else take it’s place.
Intimidating, at first glance he doesn't seem like a sweet and kindhearted person because he is tall and dark and muscular and everything that people would fear. But in fact he is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. Most people find him very intimidating and feel very uncomfortable around him. He can see through people and that is another thing that makes him very intimidating.[/blockquote] [/size] [/blockquote]

I VIEWED THE SUN FOR THE VERY LAST TIME
MOTHER: Carla Phillips
FATHER: Jonas Phillips
SIBLINGS:Thomas Philips, 45
OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: none
ORIGIN: New Orleans
HISTORY:
Carla Brosnan and Jones Phillips met one day and it wasn’t exactly love at first sight, or second or third. They hated each other at first and they couldn’t stand the sight of each other. They were neighbors since they were little on one of the poorer blocks in New Orleans. They walked to same route to school and yet they never spoke. When they were 17 Carla got a boyfriend and Jones suddenly felt a sudden sting of jealously. It was then that he realized that he indeed liked Carla, more than he thought. When she came home one night he waited for her, told her how he felt and almost demanded that she broke it off with her current boyfriend. Luckily for him, and probably also for her, she had always felt the same way and did what he told her. They were happy for a while, when they were 18 they rented a small apartment and before Carla was even 19 they were already married. They didn’t have much but that didn’t matter to Carla, she had Jones and that was all she would ever need. It was just a bit unfortunate that Jones didn’t share this feeling and he got angrier and angrier as they months passed by.
But nothing serious ever really happened, Jones yelled at Carla every now and then but never hurt her physically, at least not until their first child was born. Thomas Phillips. For a moment they were the perfect family, but soon the money problems started and Jones started to take his anger out on Carla. Thomas was always left unharmed but he grew up with seeing his mother get hurt. Carla never meant to get pregnant again, she thought that it would only increase the problems and she wasn't sure if she could deal with that. However, six years later she got pregnant again and another little boy came into the world, named Christopher Philips. Again he was left unharmed and Carla was still Jones his puncing bag for whenever he was frustrated or just plain angry.
Christopher and Thomas never really got along, the big age difference made it difficult for them to find something in common. They didn't even really have the same personality. Chris was a kind boy that wanted to learn and liked to be around people where Thomas had a very select group of friends that he spent his time with and he wasn't exactly the nicest guy. Thomas used to steal, vandalise and rob places with his little gang of other teenagers that had nothing better to do with their time. Chris was the exact opposite, he spent time on his homework and friends and went to school like the good boy that he was.
But when he turned 15, Thomas was 20 at the time, he started to see that maybe his brother's way of life wasn't that bad. They started to hang out more and one night they were just walking outside and decided to steal a car. Thomas wanted to steal some rich white man's car, because they had enough money anyway they didn't need anymore and they wouldn't miss it. Chris never had any problems with the white people in New Orleans, sure they watched him with suspicious eyes but that was it. But he listened to his older brother and went along with it. Thomas threw a brick through the car window and Chris, who had always been obsessed with cars, hotwired it. They drove for a while but then suddenly had no idea what to do with the car and just drove it into a ditch. No one had ever found out but this made Chris even more curious about his brother's way of life.
Chris started to act out and his parents just figured he was going through a phase. His mother was still getting beat up every now and then but Chris had never really been a witness of it. Thomas had been a witness of it and it explained his hatred towards his father but also his own aggressive behaviour. Together the two brothers went to parties, seduced girls and did everything that they were told not to do. But a big change came when suddenly a girl that Chris had been with announced that she was pregnant. He was only 16 at the time and his first instinct was to run. However, that night he came home to something that made him change his ways completely.
He came home late after the girl, Charlotte, had told him that she was pregnant with his child. And when he walked through the door he could already hear his mother screaming from upstairs. He had always sort of known about the abuse but he had never seen it before. Chris ran upstairs to find his mother in the bathroom, holding a towel to her face. He wanted to hit his father in the face and just rip him apart limb from limb, but the coward had left the house through the back door as soon as he heard Chris coming in. After seeing to his mother Chris decided something. He would never ever turn into the pathetic excuse for a man that his father was. In a way he had to thank him for that, it turned him into the loving and caring and understanding man that he is now.
The next day he went on a search for Charlotte, he wanted to tell her that he was going to be there for her. He was even willing to marry her. But when he got to her house her father told her that she had gone to the hospital. Chris feared the worse and that fear was comfirmed when he found her in exiting the hospital as he arrived there. Charlotte had an abortion and for some reason Chris was disappointed, he actually wanted to be a father and had gotten used to the idea over night. But soon he realised that this was for the best and there was no way that he could have raised a child at his age. He had nothing and he certainly wasn't going to raise a child anywhere near his father. A lot happened to him in just a few days but it all stimulated him to make something better of his life. Better than what his parents, better than what his brother was doing with his life.
He worked hard and graduated at the top of his class. But not that that mattered, he had no money to go to college. So he started working at a garage down the street. It didn't pay much but he saved every penny he ever made and was determined to fullfil his dream. Something he had been thinking about for quite a few years but had never told anyone about. His days at the garage were long because he mostly stayed late and he worked the longest out of all the people there. But that certainly paid off when one night a blond goddess showed up because her car broke down. It was weird that Chris felt attracted to her because normally he wasn't attracted to white woman but this woman was just an angel that had been thrown into his life and he never wanted to let her go ever again.
He found out that her name was Grace and it took him three hours to fix her car eventhough he was done after 10 minutes. He then insisted that he drove her home because it wasn't a really good neighbourhood and ever since that moment he became obsessed with the girl. He was everything she would never want but he didn't care, he wanted her more than anything and he would try anything to get to her. In the next few days he found out where she went to school and showed up with the excuse that he always checks up on the cars that he fixes. Since then, they were offically a couple. No one understood why, but they just worked. There was something between them, no one could deny that. Not even Grace's parents. Meeting them was the most stressful event Chris had ever gone through but he managed.
They didn't like him, of course. They were rich, white, classy, well mannered and according to them Chris was none of those things. Grace didn't care, she was in love with him and she wanted to be with him. When Chris was 21, Grace was 20, he moved out of his old house, not wanting to leave his mother there but he didn't really have a choice, he had to get out of there. Grace never moved in with him though. Sure, she loved him but she wasn't going to live in poverity because she was.
Chris didn't really mind. Eventually, through a deal he moved in with her on the Upper East Side. He had always wanted to have his own business, a diner but he couldn't afford it and he didn't want Grace's money to finance it. So, his lovely girlfriend made him a deal. He would move in with her and that gave him enough money to buy an old place and make it his own. It took them a while to actually get the diner going because after they got married at 22 and 21, Grace soon got pregnant.

SAMPLE:Christopher was always very eager to help those that needed to be helped but when this guy muttered something to him it made the man want to turn around and leave the guy to whatever he had gotten himself into. He didn't mind kids that were in trouble, he didn't mind it when people were addicted to something nor did he mind it when people had gotten themselves in trouble and saw no way to get themselves out. But there was one thing that he would never tolerate and that was a lack of respect. Which was something that this boy was obviously suffering from. Christopher didn't expect the boy to call him sir or anything like that. But he had made something of his life, he had done something that he could be proud of. He was not going to stand there and let this boy just mock him for that. This guy was in some deep sh!t and he was going to solve it himself if he was going to act the way he was now. Christopher had helped several people but they all wanted his help, somehow he was starting to doubt that this guy wanted his help that much.
He stood there for a moment longer, watching the boy as he reached out for an astray that stood on the counter. A smoker, of course he could have guessed that. He was repulsed by it, hated it whenever his wife was stressed and decided to pick her disgusting habit once again. But this guy found a way to make it even more disgusting. Christopher watched, not really letting his disgust show on his face but he just watched with a mild interest. As he lit the cigarette he shook his head and pushed himself away from the counter, crossing his arms in front of his chest and looking down at him. "That, boy, is really disgusting," he stated clearly. It was obvious that he was pretty much wasting his time talking to this kid, heart broken over some girl that was probably just like him. Christopher looked around the diner, finding a table that needed to be cleaned but as he wanted to walk towards him one of the guys working there already took care of it. There wasn't really much use to him being there but he was there, every single day. Sometimes he just sat at the counter, watching, he just loved being there. But he would always find something to do, there was probably some paper work waiting for him in his office in the back. He would do that, that would be time better spend than standing there talking to this guy.
He was ready to turn around and walk away when he heard his daughter's name coming from the boy's mouth. He felt his eye twitch slightly and he slowly rested his hands back onto the counter, looking straight into the boy's eyes. "You know my daughter," it wasn't a question, just a simple mentioning of a fact. He had to admit, this explained a lot. Mac's weird behaviour, her opening up all of a sudden, writing things about a guy, this guy. And then her suddenly shutting herself off again, not a trace of emotion like she had been just after the accident. It was all this guy's doing. Christopher forced himself to stay calm and not grab this guy by his neck, slam him against the wall and make him tell her what the hell he had done to his daughter. Apparently, whatever had happened between these two affect this guy as well. Just in a different way that it affected her. Mac just turned numb, this guy apparently tried to by using several things. "What do you want with her?" He asked, his voice harder than it was before. He was a father now, no longer the kind diner owner. If there was one thing that no one should mess with, it was his family.
