University of New Orleans Professor Assaulted
Four days ago, bartender Blaire Valdez was assaulted. This morning, her professor suffered the same fate. In what seems to be a strange link and turn of events, Ms. Samden of the fashions department of the university was brutally assaulted in the parking lot of the New Orleans University.
Police believe the suspect is the same one that assaulted Valdez, though the motive is still unknown. Samden was found by a student in the parking lot at 6:10 AM. She had intended to arrive early in order to grade senior projects. The student called emergency services for the semi-conscious Samden, who has suffered numerous lacerations and a fractured arm. She remains in hospital in stable condition.
The attack is believed to have been planned and researched. Persons of interest have been identified, though the suspect remains at large. Students of Samden and classmates of Valdez are advised to take caution. The head of New Orleans University had issues a cautionary message to all the students. In it, he addressed the common issue of leaving dorm rooms unlocked.
"If it can happen to a professor, it can happen to a student." He remarked. He stated that there is no such thing as being overcautious.
