PERSONALITY:LAID-BACK ♦ In most situations Kryštof is very easy going. He likes to go with the flow. For the most part he takes everything in stride, he isn't easily offended, doesn't take things personally. This is a guy who is quite laid-back in just about everything except his art in it's many forms. He prefers old, nearly worn out jeans and only wears shirts and shoes when absolutely necessary. He would much rather never have to wear either but knows that isn't always possible. When he has to dress it is definitely casual all the way, van tennis shoes and comfortable shirts are what he'll wear.
INTELLIGENT ♦ All of his education came from a very strict program of home schooling. This mother wanted Kryštof to experience education like the masses but because of his father's political position and views they ultimately decided that it would be best to keep him home. Even after the death of his parents that decision was upheld. Advancing quickly through the required materials, Kryštof did not have to spend nearly as much time on his studies as other students, thus leaving him a great deal of opportunities to pursue other interests such as art, music and languages. He is someone who learns very quickly.
CREATIVE ♦ This is one of the most dominate traits of Kryštof's personality. The guy is nothing if not imaginative. Art is a major part of his life, regardless of the medium. From photography to sculpting, drawing to painting, his creativity knows no bounds. Fortunately he also has the talent to pull off the various endeavors he is inspired to do. For Kryštof there is no "try", he will either do something or he won't. Generally he achieves the end result he was after. If that doesn't happen though he tends to find that what he winds up with is even better than what he'd initially imagined. Another facet of his creativity would be his music. He has mastered several instruments, including the piano and guitar, and he enjoys writing both music and lyrics.
VOLATILE ♦ While he is generally very laid-back, Kryštof does have something of a volatile temper when adequately provoked. Bullying, bigotry or oppression in any form will get him hot under the collar very quickly. Also any sort of abuse will set him off and he'll step in to put an end to such behavior. This dark side of his personality more or less turns him into a completely different person. Even his appearance changes from the usual handsome young man into a rather scary, hard and intense figure who clearly means to take matters into his own hands. Once he's been set off and the situation dealt with it can take a while for him to settle again, taking much longer than the initial transformation did.
ROMANTIC ♦ This is a guy who loves romance. When he was young his father would often tell him the importance of being romantic, of keeping a spark in a relationship. After the death of his parents this idea was something that Kryštof clung to in order to always remember them. Bringing flowers to a girlfriend, surprising her with an intimate dinner or a bubble bath amidst a sea of candles are just a few of his favorite romantic gestures. Of course romance comes in many forms and he enjoys the gambit, from a moonlit walk along the water to a spontaneous trip to Paris.
PASSIONATE ♦ As mentioned with his creativity, Kryštof doesn't believe in doing something halfway. If it's worth doing at all then it's worth expending the energy to do it with passion. This goes for his art and music as well as his personal relationships. It is his belief that if you can't find the passion in something then it can't be all that important. He's learned that there is not enough time in the world to live a mediocre life. Perhaps passion rules him too much but this facet of her personality isn't likely to change.
DISORGANIZED ♦ He won't be winning any contests for organization, that's for sure. Kryštof is able to find order within chaos. Though his area might look like a complete disaster, he generally knows just where things are. To some it seems impossible that he can find anything. Clutter doesn't bother him at all. In fact he's been known to take inspiration from the disorder around him. About the only area that he does keep ordered is his art studio, though some might argue that it isn't any more organized than the rest of his stuff. This doesn't mean he's a slob, he's just not interested in wasting his time making certain that everything is in its own little place.
WITTY ♦ Kryštof doesn't like negative tension of any sort, it takes him to a bad place in his head and once there it can take a long time to make his way out again. As a result he has grown rather witty over the years, using humor as a means to help keep things light. Often times his humor runs toward the dry side, though he isn't above using it in any form to keep levity in any given situation.
PROTECTIVE ♦ He may not be a large or imposing guy but he is capable of holding his own with much bigger opponents and he simply will not back down when it comes to protecting someone he holds dear. Kryštof will fight hard, and fight dirty if he has to, in order to assure that no harm ever comes to someone he cares about. After a traumatizing incident with a bully when he was a young boy, his father made certain that he got the training necessary to assure he could defend himself and those close to him. More often than not there isn't a need for his skills as a fighter but should the need ever arise he can and will defend himself and anyone of importance, or anyone who can't defend themselves.
RESPONSIBLE ♦ Because of his family history and the fact that he is the only living member, Kryštof learned responsibility from a very early age. Petr and Rùžena made him responsible for various things as he grew up, making certain that he could tend to things once they were gone. Both of his caretakers were older when they took custody of him and knew that he would need to be responsible for a great many things as a young man. Kryštof does take his family responsibilities very seriously even if he tends to seem rather lackadaisical about most other areas of his life. His sense of responsibility nearly made him marry a woman he was no longer in love with. Thankfully the truth of the situation was discovered before the ceremony.
SPONTANEOUS ♦ Kryštof is the sort of guy who likes to do things whenever the time feels right. It doesn't matter what he's doing or what he wants to do, when the inspiration strikes he'll do what he feels like doing. To his way of thinking, what's the point of having money if you don't speed some to do the things you want in life. His spontaneity doesn't even need structure. Kryštof has been known to decide he wants to take a holiday without a destination in mind, arrive at the airport and take whatever flight is next to depart to the first interesting location he finds. Of course not everything has to be so grand, he'll do pretty much anything he gets the impulse to do.

MOTHER: Amálie Alena (née Bohumír) Rostislav (deceased)
FATHER: Jarek Lukáš Rostislav (deceased)
SIBLINGS: None
OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: Petr Dobromil Vladimír (deceased), cared for house and family assets after the death of Kryštof's parents and was his father figure; Rùžena Viktorie Silvestr (deceased), raised Kryštof after the death of his parents; Kveta Nikol Silvestr, 22, Rùžena's granddaughter and Kryštof's former girlfriend/fiancée.
ORIGIN: Prague, Czech Republic
HISTORY:Born into a powerful political family, Kryštof had an atypical upbringing. With their home somewhat isolated, his childhood "friends" were the children of other politicians that his father was close with. When the men came to the residence on business they would bring a child for Kryštof to play with. There was one boy who was several years older and very much a bully. He was always picking on Kryštof and teasing him about his size or trying to scare him. The older boy lured the younger to the labyrinth of tunnels that ran beneath the castle where the Rostislav's lived. Together they entered the crumbling maze, using a flashlight for illumination. After traversing a series of passages, the older boy ran off, leaving Kryštof lost and alone in the tunnels, watching as the only source of light faded away in the distance. He tried to follow the light but couldn't keep up with the older boy. Eventually he fell and moments later he was consumed by total darkness. For almost twenty-four hours he lay curled in the fetal position waiting to be found. Kryštof was nearly catatonic by that time. Eventually he recovered from the fright but he has never overcome his debilitating fear of the dark.
All along Jarek had intended to assure that his son had the skills to defend himself by the time he was of age where he would want to go out into the world. Following this incident, the man decided that the time was at hand to begin Kryštof's training in self defense despite his tender age. Like with everything he'd ever done, the boy excelled. This training would continue through several styles of martial arts, as well as kick boxing. Ultimately he developed his own style of fighting, which he is more than capable of using when the situation calls for it. He is not someone who will start anything but he will step in and finish something when he feels action is required.
In addition to the aforementioned incident in the tunnels, Jarek's political views, which weren't always popular, led he and his wife to consider alternate education as a means to safeguard their son. When other children his age went off to school, Kryštof began taking his lessons at home. That was just fine with him because it allowed him to spend more time with his mother, to whom he was incredibly close. His relationship with his father was more limited simply due to the fact that Jarek spent many long hours at his job. He was always gone before Kryštof awoke for the day and often didn't return home until after he'd gone to bed. That wasn't to say that he didn't love his father dearly and that they didn't spend time together. There were instances when Jarek was home and he used those moments, however rare, to teach his young son what was important.
Kryštof's world turned upside down one winter night when he was ten years old. His parents had taken a trip, a sort of second honeymoon. It was a trip they would not return from. Mechanical problems result in a plane crash that claimed their lives. Always practical, his father had made arrangements for such a circumstance. Jarek's long-time friend and the manager of the residence, Petr, along with the cook/cleaning woman, Rùžena, would share the responsibility of raising young Kryštof. They found a new tutor for the boy and life went more or less back to normal. The loss of his parents was something that always haunted him and while he wasn't trying to forget them in any way, he found he functioned better by keeping busy. He could still think about his parents, nothing would change that, but he wouldn't sink into a quagmire of depression over their loss if he used his time wisely.
That was when Kryštof began to immerse himself in art, music and languages. He quickly decided that he was truly bohemian in more ways than one. Along with his new areas of study he quickly completed all of the required components to complete his education by the time he was sixteen. Of course he continued with his elective studies, learning new medium of art, new instruments and another language. It turned out to be incredibly advantageous that he finished his education early because during the summer of his sixteenth year Rùžena's granddaughter came to stay with her following graduation. Kryštof and Kveta hit it off immediately. With everything that he'd been through, despite his limited contact with outsiders, he was quiet mature for his age. Regardless of the fact that Kveta was two years older, their relationship progressed rather quickly. Especially after the death of his father figure, Petr.
Once again Kryštof clung to distraction for dear life, this time in the form of Kveta. Unfortunately the girl was more interested in what he could give her then she was about him. She loved the spur of the moment trips, the lavish gifts and all the money and attention that he showered her with. After about a year his passion for her began to fizzle. Kryštof was set to break up with Kveta until she came to him with the news that she was expecting a child. The desire to carry on his family name had always been strong and his sense of responsibility to his child overruled his desire to find new passion. Kryštof proposed to Kveta and she immediately began to plan a very lavish wedding. She wanted to marry quickly, before she started to show.
Soon enough it would come to light that the pregnancy was just a lie to keep herself where she wanted to be, namely in bed with his money. When her deceit came to light it ended the relationship. Even more devastating to Kryštof was losing Rùžena, whose failing health took a fatal blow due to her granddaughter's actions. Her heart failed, leaving her to pass away in her sleep. Losing his surrogate mother brought forward the need to once again find something new to immerse himself in. With really no remaining ties to his home Kryštof opted for a fresh new start. Leaving the care of the family home to a trustee, he packed some things and headed for the airport. There were several possibilities for relocation. Ultimately he decided on the United States, specifically New Orleans after recently watching a documentary about the celebration of Mardi Gras. A town that threw a party like that seemed to be a good place to make a new start. Having now been in town for a few months, long enough to get his status in order, he has enrolled at the local University as an Art Major.

ALIAS: Nova
AGE: 22
EXPERIENCE: Mmm, couple years.
SAMPLE:Jay had never really understood where the name Wonderboy came from. He'd been twenty when they met, not exactly a boy there and he was damn near twenty-one before she started using that particular nickname. He'd never much cared what people called him but that one always made him raise an eyebrow, made him wonder her reasoning behind the name. Despite his curiosity he'd never asked and probably never would. It was enough to know that it was something that Megara had only for him. Now more than ever he wasn't going to balk or question anything she wanted call him, anything she wanted to do. They were back together now and he wasn't ever going to do anything to jeopardize that. Jay couldn't help but smile in response to her smirk, clearly she had noticed his reaction. Truth be told, he loved that particular expression on her. There were a lot of fantastic memories where that smirk played a significant role. Actually, he had fond memories that involved all of Meg's various expressions. It didn't matter what her face looked like it was beautiful to him. Even in anger she was gorgeous, probably a result of the bright fire that would spark in her eyes when she was mad. That was part of the reason that he had liked to provoke her, to see that spark flash behind the purple. Maybe it was a sign of his new maturity but he found himself wanting a different sort of fire in her eyes, not to mention having her lips curved into a smile more.
When Megara's hands shifted back to his face, her fingers moving along his jaw, rustling the hair that sprouted from his skin a small shiver went through his frame. Jay was finding more and more to like about his new facial hair. He'd always loved the feel of Meg's fingers in his hair and that had now branched to include the hair along his jaw. He tilted his head, smiling widely as she pressed closer. There was no better sensation then feeling her frame molded against his. Well, that wasn't entirely true, but that was the best he could ask for in the current time and place and it felt damn good. This was something that Jay wouldn't trade, just being able to stand close to her in public again. His lips curved upward even more causing his cheeks to dimple. His hands slide to the small of her back as her arms went around his neck. He tilted his head a bit more as Megara looked away, his left eyebrow arching hopefully as he waited for a response. There for a moment he started to worry. Was he dreaming? Had everything that so recently happened all been in his head?
Finally Meg let him off the hook, revealing her teasing as she agreed they were back together. Jay released a heavy breath that he hadn't even realized he'd been holding, letting his eyes close in relief as he leaned into her touch. Once again he was reminded just much he loved the feel of her hands in his hair. There was no question that would never change. He also liked the playfulness that she was displaying. It felt so amazing to feel this light surrounding them, leaving him feeling bright and peaceful. This was something that he had never experienced away from Megara. In fact, he'd never experienced anything to quite that degree, not even when they'd been together before. The moment was made all the more poignant when her expression shifted back to the beatific smile. Even that paled though as she pressed her mouth tenderly back to his. Jay hummed softly against her lips as his eyelids lowered to almost closed.
Megara pulled back far too soon for his taste, but then there had just been the pointed clearing of a throat to remind them that they were in a public location and couldn't afford to get carried away. Should that happen there were always places that they could go, Jay could think of half a dozen on the spot. The thing of it was that he honestly felt perfectly happy with the soft, gentle kisses they were sharing. Just like the first time around he wasn't in any rush to speed to the finale. Their recently sexual encounter had reminded him just how amazing being with Meg was but that wasn't all that he wanted, had never been all he wanted from her. That hadn't changed, would never change. The fact of the matter was that what Jay wanted from her was very simple, he wanted everything and he wanted to give her everything in return.
Despite her clearly teasing words as she finished speaking after their all too brief kiss, his expression turned serious. "That's good," he told her, gazing at her lovingly, lifting one hand to tuck her hair behind her ear. "Thank you for that because it's true, you know? I can't live without you, Megara. I've tried," he whispered meaningfully. "I didn't like it." Jay gazed down at her for a long moment, trying to convey it all with his intense green eyes. Then he leaned down, brushing his lips against hers softly. This kiss was even more chaste than the one she initiated just seconds before. He smiled tenderly as he pulled back. "So… you have any plans after work?" he asked, raising his brows to put further emphasis on the question.
