TO CLAIM ITS LATEST VICTIM, FRESH MEAT FOR CARNAL DESIRES
LIKES: chocolate covered strawberries, ice cream sundaes, poetry, romance books(not the dirty kind, but stuff like Pride & Prejudice and The Notebook), calligraphy, karaoke, shopping, gardening, sketching, working with fabrics/sewing, the snow, musicals, soccer, springtime, Christmas, jazz music, old Disney movies, kids/babysitting, swimming laps, baking, camping, horseback riding and dogs.
DISLIKES: cats, anything sour, hardcore pure action flicks, early mornings, fish, guns, long summers, country music, lonely nights, pelting rain, large empty spaces, cowboy hats, large amounts of hot pink, “Disney Pop”, not talking to her family, grabby guys, walking alone at night, thick/dense woods, baseball, fad book series(Craplight-oh Twilight!), sports night at the bar, poor hygiene, fake bakes, anything science related, snakes and the WPP rules.
FEARS: Nicolette is afraid of getting attached to someone again be it friends or falling in love. On top of that, she is afraid someone from the Kamodo’s will find her in Louisiana. They believe she is dead and wants it to stay that way. Finally she is afraid to go after her dreams. She has been told she’s not worth anything except for other people’s use, so she has never tried out her passion of photography or English.
SECRETS: Her top secret is that she is in Witness Protection Program. Obviously no one knows that and she doubts they ever will. Another is she has never been in a real relationship. Not once in her life and now she isn’t sure if she should be in one. Finally Nicolette keeps the fact that she has some good piano skills to herself. She no longer plays nor wishes to play.
PERSONALITY:Nicolette is a sweet girl but not everyone would know that. She hides behind her fear of getting too attached to someone be it a friend or a romantic interest. That’s when her defenses go up and sometimes she can be snippy and add an edge of attitude. Slowly she is trying to change that though and try to be kinder to people; mainly because her therapist thinks it’s a good idea to try and make connections. Doesn’t keep her fears away at all though. Another part is that she has never been in a relationship. Yes, she has had plenty of sex in her life but never a committed relationship. Nicolette has fantasized about that perfect man but has never made that leap.
Nicolette is a girl who can stand up for herself. She knows how to fight back and able to jump into bar fights when they happen. If someone was to attacker she could easily fight back. Though she is a bit on the heavier side, some of that is more muscles then “fat”. Of course she is also careful not to go too far and have to move cities. When things get too hard she goes to a ranch not too far from her apartment and goes horseback riding. When riding her stresses are relieved and things come back into perspective. It’s one of the few things that pull her back into reality. While she has her indulgences and hobbies, horseback riding is the best thing for her in her mind.
Back home, Nicolette used to play the piano. When she wasn’t out on a job, sometimes she was with the other members and playing a keyboard. But since going in the program she is afraid to even play anymore. Not even she knows why she gets afraid playing it, but she does. Maybe it’s because she associated it with her family, whom she cannot contact. That has led to a lot of lonely nights or days-depending on her work schedule-where she just goes through a bottle of whatever alcohol is in her home. While she is not an alcoholic, it’s one of the comfort things she reaches for when she can’t handle those rare days when she can’t handle things. Inside she hopes one day she’ll get swept up in the excited of the city and just plunge head first into new friendships or a relationship. But that is simply a small pipe dream deep within herself at the moment.

HISTORY:Nicolette is a girl of secrets. But in order to know that, people have to know a little about her past. She wasn‘t born Nicolette Ann Bush-she was born Lilian Marie Lariviere. She had a mother, a father who passed away and a sister. She lived in New York in a condo her mother had. She went to a public school and graduated with honors. But no one in Louisiana knows this. And they probably never will because Nicolette is in the Witness Protection Program. Nicolette will be in the program at least until trial-and maybe for the rest of her life. He family thinks she‘s dead; they can never know that she is alive.
Nicolette used to be in a gang called the Black Komodos. She joined when she was thirteen. When she was sixteen she started to turn tricks and deal, mainly within the gang and to people affiliated with them. Her family never knew this; when she got shot by a buyer of their products, she claimed she was caught in a drive by after ditching her product. Being with the Komodo's allowed her to get her own apartment at eighteen and the reason she is now in Witness Protection. Nicolette was eighteen when she saw the bad part of the gang that hit home for her. She was out with the head and a couple other members when all of a sudden they pulled over. They were at a restaurant owned by a rival gang‘s family. Everyone was killed and Nicolette-then Lilian-saw it all happen; even children were killed. An dnot just any family-it was a family who lived in her building. She had babysat those kids a couple times when she wasn't out. She loved that family. That night she decided to get out and tell someone what had happened.
She went to a lawyer‘s office. The police were called and she gave a statement outlining the drugs that ran through them, how she and other girls were made to turn tricks, the hits on other gangs, dumping ground for bodies as well as what happened at the restaurant. It‘s exactly what they needed to go after the Komodos to add to the work of their undercover cop. But she knew she wouldn‘t be safe in New York anymore, not after she had told. Nicolette/Lilian made a statement on tape and then the police, DA and WPP marshals all helped to fake her death. Someone undercover within the gang performed a “hit“. He had a fellow member drive by while he shot her up. Or so it seemed. In reality she had a bullet-proof vest and pockets of fake blood. There was even a funeral held and everything; Nicolette watched her family bury her from a car before being taken off to her new home in Louisiana.
That‘s her background before Louisiana. Since Louisiana things have been a lot different. She got a decent job after learning to be a bartender. She works nights mostly, but every so often she works during the day for an extra shift and some catering events. But it‘s not what she wants to do. Nicolette is only doing that to save up some money to maybe go to college one day. She hasn't decided but has a small savings account to save up in case she wants to go to school. Or get a home if she changes her mind. Though she doesn‘t have an apartment as lavish as she used to have, it‘s perfect for one person. One bedroom with a bath. She knew how to do some upholstery thanks to her grandmother so she redid all the used furniture provided by WPP. Her first weekend there she did a lot of cleaning because it‘s what she does when stressed or scared. Of course she had all of that going on all at once.
Nicolette hasn‘t dated since being in her new home. She hasn‘t even had a simple hook-up. She has been seeing a counselor through WPP to help her cope with all her bad decisions she made in the past and getting by in her new life. Her new back story was she was an orphan who never knew her parents. She could make up some things about being tossed from home to home as she wished, but she could never reveal she was from New York or of her family. Some days it got hard though because some of her street smarts kick in. Like when there‘s a bar fight; Nicolette knows how to hold her own which she learned after dealing with more then one violent man and opposing girl. After the first couple fights, the marshals-whom she refers to as her “friends”-learned not to freak out so much. She only does it to break up fights and not start ones; plus Nicolette knows not to hurt anyone least someone gets tipped off.
Generally it‘s been hard for her. A lot of days Nicolette feels lonely and the need to call her sister, but doesn‘t. When it gets too hard she calls her “friends” or her therapist. Lately she has taken to practicing her calligraphy and French all at once with writing in her journal-though she can‘t talk about her past life. At least in so many words. She does express her loneliness and need for a connection again, but no one would know what or whom it refers to hopefully. Since being in Louisiana she has gotten a tattoo on her wrist and foot, but only after the one the Black Komodos made her get was removed from her back; with the help of WPP of course. Despite the occasional nights of loneliness, she is doing better. The therapist helps her with that; though the push to begin dating is hard for her to deal with. After what she used to do, Nicolette craves a real relationship. One with romance, real feelings and where sex waits. She just doesn‘t think that‘s possible despite her wishing for one.

SAMPLE:taken form another site with another characterKayleigh crossed her arms and dug her nails into her skin. She was trying ot clam herself down seeing as she just wanted to scream at him. They were fighting like some couple which they were not. ”I do have other friends. If you’re going to be such a pain about it then I won’t burden you with it.” Who knew? Kevin may not be that big of an ass if she just got through to him. She was so angry that she was practically shaking. She needed to go for a long drive but having Jason here made it a little more then difficult to do that. ”At this point, I’d rather fall on my face. At least then I might make a connection of some sorts with a guy.” There was a pause because that’s all she could let on about at this point. She still wasn’t sure if Kevin was her boyfriend but she’d try anyways.
How did everything get so complicated? Couldn’t Kayleigh just rewind time to go back to high school when everything was simple? Before she had her music contract, before Ella was around, before everything got serious with Jake’s sister…just before all the problems of real, adult life had kicked in. Then she’d go back and redo everything. She’d date and probably find her right guy who wasn’t Jason and settle down. But back then she had to be the shy bug in the dating world and not even do more then make-out with a guy once. The wind in her hair though she wipe all those regrets back and help her just recuperate from last night and today.
Kayleigh felt the hot tears of anger springing to her eyes. That was the only way she was able to tell him that she liked him and probably would always like him. Of course she was never sure about anything like love but she at least knew she had feelings. Quickly she began to search desperately for her keys. As soon as she found them, they were thrown onto the side table when she noticed Jason was back in the living her. She shook her head with a groan. ”Jason no more…” As she wiped at the angry droplets her breath was caught in the sudden forcefulness. Jason had never acted like this with her, especially once he dipped in for the kiss. Kayleigh was taken but complete and utter surprise and had to recuperate from it. Of course a first kiss was always memorable, but not like it was long enough to be completely show stopping, fireworks worthy.
Kayeligh shook her head as she pushed back some her bangs. Everything was just a big confusing mess again. She had never been in a place where she was stuck between two guys. Well,, not really because the choice would be easy in the end since she wasn’t so serious with Kevin at this point. But that’s only if it was an option. If not, their friendship might have even more problems as she’d end up going with Kevin and let Jason be. ”Why didn’t you tell me?” Yes, she had been on tour but she made it very clear that she was home for good. She was on a break from music and had time to decide if she wanted to even go back to it. Kayleigh told him that when she got home.
She shook her head she just stared at him in disbelief. Her voice was slightly calmer as she spoke her next carefully chosen words. “If you want to talk about…this…in a calmer way, fine. If not now let me know when you feel up to talking. But it better be soon. I’m supposed to go out tonight.” If not she was going to go out in her Roxi and just drive.
