FATHER: keith thomas sterling, 49, CEO.
SIBLINGS: austin james sterling, 23, military.
OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: rowdy, 1, bulldog.
ORIGIN: outside New Orleans
HISTORY:
it all started with a young keith sterling met an even younger amari dawes in his senior year of high school. amari was only a sophomore but that didn't stop the two from budding a romance. it only made sense that two of the best looking people in school got together - it was picturesque for the small town outside of new orleans. the two young lovers never split and never looked back as they both entered college, graduated, and got married seven years later. the true story of high school sweet hearts.
they stayed inside their small town and had two children. austin was the first born and only son. he came into the world kicking and screaming - which never seemed to stop, even to this day. he was a handful from the start and never gave his a parents a wink of sleep. so to the family's pleasure, when last child was born without a problem and minimal crying - they were delighted. adeline was an angel from the start and never fussed at her parents. she ate what was put in front of her and did everything she was asked. the last the thing the family needed was the town scrutinizing the parenting skills that were implemented.
it was because of this close eye that addie did her best to please everybody in every way. she got straight a's throughout elementary and middle school - which she undoubtedly carried on to high school, but that proved to be different grounds. adeline got sick of her perfect ways and decided to climb out of her shell - making friends like rapid fire and not being afraid to laugh. she gained popularity quite quickly. at age sixteen she met steven and it was love. she had known basically her entire life, but it took high school to bring them together. they were inseparable for 3 years - but then things went wrong. adeline's parents separated after a pathetic fight and that was enough to scare addie. shortly after graduating - at the age of nineteen - steven proposed to addie. shocked, confused, and completely emotions, she said no. in her mind she wasn't and never would be good enough for a man like steven - he was too far out of her league.
using the hurricane as an excuse to vanish, she disappeared for a few months but returned shortly after. she tried to help her life long best friend overcome the devastation of the natural disaster. it all proved to be too much and on a night where they both felt like just forgetting about life, they went out to a local bar. nobody around here checked their id's and the two drowned their sorrows in liquor. it proved to be a fatal mistake. as they left the bar addie pleaded with her friend, kayla, to call a cab to drive them home - but after a heated argument kayla convinced addie that she was sober enough to drive. just three minutes before they got home, kayla swerved into oncoming traffic and straight into a head-on collision. kayla died instantly and adeline was left with catastrophic blood loss that nearly took her life.
addie made a complete recovery about five months and has been leading a rather quiet life ever since. nobody even knew she had come back to new orleans, but she did so in order to attend college - where she is now studying fashion journalism. her memories are haunted by her lost love and the tragic accident that took her best friend.

ALIAS: brooke.
AGE: twenty. i'm old.
EXPERIENCE: too long.
SAMPLE:When it came to making decisions, it would be safe to say that Raleigh always followed her heart. Certainly there were times when she followed her instincts and even did some deductive reason. For instance, Apollo was known to get into some trouble and so whenever he found himself doing “illegal activities”, Raleigh was sure to be there to keep him quiet. Don’t get it wrong because Apollo was always there for Raleigh when she needed him. Like the time she got entirely too drunk to even remember her name and she ended up passing out in the middle of the club. That’s right, he scooped her up from the floor before she could be trampled and carried her all the way home, because he himself was too drunk to think of calling a cab. So he drunkenly stumbled all the way to second floor apartment without even letting her feet touch the ground. That night had been the single time they had slept in the same bed. He had laid next to her all night ensuring she kept breathing and they even woke up in each others arms. Granted, they never spoke about that particular embrace. It had never left an awkward feeling for Raleigh, but she was unsure of how it made Apollo feel. They also had affectionate run-ins aside from that, the occasional cuddling and they had nearly kissed before. But that was again not done in a sober state. Plus it had been at New Year’s Eve party almost a year ago. Since then they hadn’t come that close to kissing again. That’s just how things were though; they were best friends, not lovers.
The sting of the alcohol down her throat caused her face to wrinkle, but she loved it. It was darker in her kitchen and she greatly appreciated that. She opened her mocha eyes and allowed them to float to Apollo. A mischievous smirk tugged at the corners of her lips as her mind ran over a few thoughts. The first of which was how easy it would be get Apollo out the clothes. The second being what exactly she’d do with him after she had taken those clothes off. So she probably shouldn’t be plotting her actions of stripping down Apollo, but oh she was. It wasn’t until the vodka bottle moved that she snapped back to reality. Apollo’s brilliant pair of sapphire eyes held a spark that she had never seen before. A smile crossed her face as she saw the mouth of the bottle go to his lips. She raised an eyebrow and leaned against the counter. Yeah, she’d like to put something else against his lips, like maybe her own. It was amazing that Raleigh wasn’t scolding herself for having these thoughts like she usually did. Except, her thoughts weren’t usually this perverse. She folded her arms, cradling her ribcage, as she looked on in complete captivation. His lips were the only thing she could look at; so full, soft, and completely juicy. She had to fight the urge to jump out and just grab his face and so far she was doing a great job. Apollo would have to be blind to not notice her looks, stares, and quick glances tonight. She was too intoxicated to even care about keeping them discreet. So she bluntly ran her eyes down his figure, absorbing every little detail that was to be offered. Those clothes, damn those clothes! They were taking away from the good stuff, the ridges of his muscles, the flexion, the skin.
Raleigh chewed on her bottom lips as she continued to paint a picture in her mind. It was all becoming too much for her to handle, the urges were getting too hard to resist. For the sake of their friendship she caged those feelings and suppressed them the best she could. Apollo was quiet, he wasn’t saying much. He must be thinking about something because usually he would be rambling about something. He had given her a look a few minutes prior that caught her attention. She wasn’t quite sure of it’s significance, but whatever it was had been flattering and even intriguing. She smiled once more as she observed the liquor pass over his lips. Apollo would always keep pace with her every move and the two of them could drink more people under the table than you’d imagine. That’s what made them such a fierce partying duo. Though as Apollo replaced the bottle back the counter Raleigh took it upon herself to pick it back up. Just one more wouldn’t hurt right? Bringing it to her lips she tipped the glass and let the liquid rush down her throat. The burn wasn’t as intense and shortly after she returned the bottle back to the counter. Shaking her head slightly to rid herself of those typical side effects of taking a shot, she unfolded her arms. ”Hah, what would I do without you?”, she laughed as she leaned slightly toward Apollo. She wasn’t quite sure why she said that, but she truly didn’t know what she’d do without Apollo. He had revived her from a serious depression without even knowing it. She would always be in debt to him for that.
Silence cloaked the room for a few interminable moments and the mood of the setting shifted. Apollo eyes had locked onto her and even in her inebriated state she felt butterflies. Raleigh couldn’t quite tell if it was her imagination or if Apollo had really moved closer to her. He stood before her and she felt so small compared to him; in every way. She could feel his gaze and innocently she looked back. ”I want to try something. Hold still,” His eyes never even flicked away and neither did hers. There was a small motion that brought his face closer to hers, but then it stopped. In that hesitation Raleigh felt her breathing deepen and grown heavy. Her heart nearly sputtered to a stop and her whole body felt weak. What was he doing? Before she even had time to think her eyes had closed and she felt the touch of his lips against her very own. Her heart kick started and began racing, her veins boiling over with desire. Involuntarily her hands slid up his chest and around his neck. A spark ignited in her soul that left her only wanting more. She pressed slightly into the kiss, pushing her body against his as she rose to be on her tippy-toes. Breaking the kiss she took a glance up at him, ”There’s something I want to try too.” she whispered almost breathlessly. Rejoining her lips to his she ran her tongue across his bottom lip, his taste already proving to be addicting. She forced him back a step or two as her hands slid back down his chest and played at the hem of his shirt. As hesitant as she was about the next move, the liquid courage running through her system took over. Her fingers slid under the material and expanded out feeling the definition of his muscles, every crevice simply just adding to her want, her need for him. Despite all inhibitions and reasons against this, it felt right. And even though she heavily intoxicated, she knew she wouldn’t be able to shake this feeling.
