PERSONALITY:
PROTECTIVE – Steven is well-known for his loyalty, and therefore his protectiveness. He’s over-protective of some people, his sister being the main victim, and though he realizes it can be annoying to be so smothering, he won’t ever change it.
GOOFY – He likes to be seen as intelligent and successful, but Steven knows he’s just a big goof most of the time and won’t hide it. At first, he may try to hinder his goofy tendencies, but once you get to know him, you’re in for his prankster ways.
DEVOTED – Steven won’t love and leave, dine and ditch, or any of the take-them-leave-them phrases. If he loves someone, he’s devoted entirely. This has gotten him into depressing situations before, with people who aren’t quite so loyal. But he doesn’t plan to make any changes. He’d rather be devoted than be a flake.
TEMPERMENTAL – Though not a fan of drama necessarily, Steven does have quite the temper on him. Especially if it means someone he loves is in danger. He flies off the handle easily and it doesn’t take much to tick him off. Once his anger is lit, the victim had better run.
CHARMING - Maybe he’s not as romantic as he’d like to be, but he does consider himself to be a charmer. And not in the cheesy, sleazy way. He’d rather work to win a girl’s affection than hop into bed with her after one sentence. He’s a hopeless romantic, and therefore, is sure he’ll always be lost without true love.

ORIGIN: Small town outside of New Orleans
HISTORY:Growing up in a small town certainly isn’t easy. No, sir. In fact, when there are so few people in your community that your own parents are scrutinized for their apparent wrong-doings, life can be a bit tough. You learn to hate judgemental people and put up a pretty strong barrier that refuses to let people in. At least, that’s what happened to Steven Bebinn. His parents have always been the sweetest couple the world could claim to know. They were young sweethearts who fell in love instantly and started a family. The family, which started with the birth of their first and only daughter Delilah, struggled to get by but didn’t worry about money. Instead, stories and campfireds and hugs were the means of payment around the Bebinn household. By the time their only son came around, they were already professionals at teaching their children how to love.
Steven, being two years younger than Delilah, always looked up to his sister. When he was old enough to understand the horror stories his parents faced with nosy neighbors and gossiping small-town people, he realized that he and his sister had to stick together because they both knew what it felt like to love and be loved regardless of the situation. So what if their parents weren’t married when both of their children were born? Steven didn’t think it was that big of a dishonor. But he still remembers their marriage as if it was he highlight of his childhood. Maybe it was. At least, it was the most prominent memory he could recall. He keeps a framed photo of the event in his bedroom, a constant reminder of the faces that knew unconditional love. His sister was always his hero, and though he’d never tell her such things, he has always been her biggest fan. She could say she wanted to climb a mountain or learn to surf, it wouldn’t matter. He’d be there with open arms and a #1 Fan sign to sport around. Due to his dediciation to Delilah, he is also incredibly protective of her. And with woman he loves in general.
Which is what got him in trouble. He’s only been in love once. And she was something special. He can hardly stand to say her name anymore and anytime he hears it mentioned, he shudders with a mixture of regret and fondness. Adeline, that was her name. He called her Addie and they fell in love when he was only sixteen. It was his first love, and to this point, his only love. Maybe he was a bit headstrong, and he was certainly too far gone to notice, because when he proposed to Addie, she said no. Without another word. Just “no.” They were only nineteen, but Steven thought they were meant for each other. Three years of dating was enough for him to be convinced, but apparently not for Addie. She broke his heart, shattered it, and left without explanation. It’s been almost a year since the painful break-up and Steven has yet to fully recover. He wonders what it would be like if he saw her again. What he would do, what she looks like now. It’s painful, but he knows he must move on. The worst part is – he’s a bit of a hopeless romantic, and therefore, knows he’ll never quit dreaming.
For now, he’s stuck in New Orleans with little more than a few bucks to his name and no career to speak of. He didn’t go to college. After graduation, he had promised Addie a trip around the world and was working to save up for it. They’d take a year off from school and start college the following Fall. Those were the plans. They didn’t work out, obviously, and now the thought of attending the university makes Steven sick. So he works as a bouncer, the only job he could figure would keep his temper in check and allow him to beat some tail end if he needed to. A great venting situation, he figured. He’d really love to break into music, or maybe study something interesting like literature or even writing. But for now, he’s just hanging around until something – or someone – comes along to change it. The only positive thing, and really the only reason he has chosen to stay in this city despite the horrible memories it holds for him – is the presence of his sister. Of course he was secretly a bit depressed when she announced her engagement since it was something he had lost so recently, but he supports her wholeheartedly and living here lets him keep an eye on her… and the guy who is trying to take her away from him.

ALIAS: Alex
AGE: Old! Twenty-one.
EXPERIENCE: Three years?
SAMPLE:The few seconds between the knock on the door and the opening of the wooden barrier between them was the longest few moments of Eli’s life. He had been nervous before. In fact, he was nervous almost all the time. Just a generally nervous person by nature. But, this was borderline paranoia and when he heard Anya announce she’d be there in a minute, his heart nearly skipped a beat. How could be so nervous about this? How many times had he been hanging out with Anya and never been nervous? There was definitely something different about tonight. Eli mentally psyched himself up for the activities. He knew it would take strength to be as laid-back as he normally was. But he needed to be, for Anya’s sake. A first date was worth it.
”You look great,” he commented quietly, returning the much-anticipated hug of greeting. He looked her over quickly, checking out the outfit she was wearing and wondering if she had taken a while to pick it out. He thought girls were funny about things like that. ”I’ve been excited too. Lots of things planned,” he nodded, a grin returning to his face and threatening permanent residence. He was always smiling, this shouldn’t be any different. He glanced down at Anya’s hand when she took his and the smile had no choice but to grow even larger as he strolled down the hall with her. ”I’m parked out front,” he explained as they reached the door and he opened it, holding it out for Anya as any gentleman should know to do, ”I wasn’t about to make you walk there.”
Eli wondered for a moment if he had even told Anya where they were going. He knew he had mentioned dinner… but he wasn’t sure if he expressed all the details. He figured it would be better to surprise her. He led her to the car, wishing he had a much cooler vehicle at this point in time. Maybe something expensive, like the Batmobile. Or, just the Batmobile. That would have been impressive, right? But no, just his little red car awited them. It would have to do. He opened the door for his date, following gentleman rule #2, and hopped in the car after she was settled in. ”I do believe we have quite the night in store for us, Ms. Romanov,” he said formally, starting the car (thankful it started without dying) and backed out of the nearly-empty parking lot. Most people must have been out doing equally fun things, he decided. He was glad he could be the one with Anya tonight. ”It will be life-changing. Brilliant! Unforgettable!” So maybe he was romanticizing things a bit. But then again, Eli was determined to make the date all of those things. It would be a night to remember, that was for sure. If Eli had his way. There would be much more hand-holding, a lot of laughter, another hug or two. The night was young. There was room for anything and now that his mind was finally starting to understand the feelings he had for Anya, it was bound to be quite the magical date..
