SECRETS: She's still a virgin, was previously set up in an arranged marriaged but was left at the alter, is distrusting of guys
PERSONALITY:When people think of someone with the name April, they would assume that girl would be bright, bubbly, and cheerful 24/7. This April is an exception to that stereotype. Her main attitude that she puts off is reserved, modest, and studious. She's one of those girls you expect to have been straight A-grades, all honors, and valedictorian of her highschool. You did, then you guessed correctly. Lil does know when to have fun, and she does, but she has high expectations of herself and intends on upholding them. To sum it up, she's an almost equal balance of serious and play.
She is also a reliable and trustworthy friend and will never do you wrong unless you do so to her. April believes in karma strongly. Being raised in a partial Asian background, its been something her mother has preached to her when she does wrong. April upholds that to this day although those morals can get crowded since she lives in a party central.
Mardi Gras is one of her favorite occasions and when her more rebellious side comes out. She drinks and makes out with guys carelessly, although you'd think she went further. Some guys may call her out to be a stuck up daddy's little princess but she's not. April wants to wait for the right guy, though it seems hard seeing as she doesn't trust them easily. Despite all these, mostly, positive traits, April can be quite unpredictable. She is very self-depreciating of herself although she states it as being overly modest, it doesn't go over very well with her friends. In other words, April is one book that you can't judge by its cover.

MOTHER: Amura Teanna Sommers (nee Bishnu), 45, Deceased
FATHER: Roger Harold Sommers, 44, Realestate Agent
SIBLINGS:Steven Joshua Sommers, 23, Pre-Med student
OTHER IMPORTANT PEOPLE: Her pet kitten named Mimi
ORIGIN: Raleigh, North Carolina
HISTORY:Amura Bishnu was born into poverty in the land of the Himalayas, Nepal. She was sold into a brothel at the age of 10 because her family could not afford to care for her and lived/worked there until the age of 16 when she finally decided she was going to make an honest living with something she could live with. Amura left and began working as a maid for a rich family and slowly started to save enough money to put herself through school. The family took pity on her and for all her hard-work over the course of two years, agreed to send her to Kodaikanal International School in India. Amura was entirely grateful to the family and promised to repay them though they refused to take interest in being paid back.
It was there the two very different worlds of poverty and higher middle-class collide when Amura met Roger Sommers. He was a well mannered Southern gentleman who was instantly draw to her exotic beauty. They met, both being seniors, and had an instance friendship. The two became very nearly inseparable and Roger invited Amura to Thanksgiving dinner with his family in Raleigh. His family, who were not racist but held some discrimination for her being low class, was a bit hesitant to allow someone in their home on such short notice. However once meeting Amura, they were quite pleased, as well as shocked, with how polite and courteous she was. When the conversation arrived as to what she intended on doing once graduating from Kodi, she said she was not entirely sure seeing as she had not thought that far through.
With open arms they permitted her to live in the spare guest room and have her work her way into college, an arrangement she accepted humbly. Amura applied for college at North Carolina State University and was narrowly accepted. While she was of at NCSU, majoring in sociology, Roger was off at Vanderbilt for management. In a short four years later, they were celebrating Christmas where Roger proposed with his parents consent. May 16 of that same year they were married and about a month later they graduated college and started their life together.
It was then Steven was born January 23rd of 1987, shortly followed by April who was born April 3rd of 1991. Both were a blessing to the family and were greatly loved by their parents. Everything seemed to be going well for the family of four until five years later. April had no clue that people could actually get sick to the point they could die until her mother did. She was 5 years old when her mother fell ill. At first, no one had any clue what was wrong Amura insisted that she was okay and that they shouldn't worry and refused to see a doctor. Then things got worse as the years progressed. Then the spring April turned nine, her mother collapsed and was taken to the emergency room. Amura was diagnosed with severe cervical cancer. Insurance covered the costs, but since the cancer had developed so much, there was a slim chance of survival.
The outcome; not good. Amura died three weeks later on May 24th. The walls were caving in on all of them but especially April. She was closest to her mother and now, it seemed like the end of the world. The funeral was a very small event consisting of the trio, her paternal grandparents, a few cousins, and a couple of neighbors. April sobbed her heart out while clutching to her brother and father. In the will, her mother asked that Roger do anything deemed necessary to ensure the well being of their children, even if they did not like it at first.
As the days grew into weeks, then to months, and shortly after that years, April was still mourning at the age of 17. Roger was worried about his daughter seeing as she wasn't cooperating with anything, nor eating properly or caring for herself. And so Roger realized that she needed to be away from the house although it was evident that she wouldn't come easy. Roger didn't have a clue how this idea came to mind but a marriage seemed ideal. There was nothing like being in love and having someone by your side through joy and strife. He had a few colleagues from work who had sons and asked them what they thought about it, which they all had mixed feelings about. It wasn't until bring your kid to work day did Roger see it. He had forced April to come stating she needed to have a break, and there she instantly clicked with Hunter Williams.
Everything seemed to play out like a movie as he and Hunter's father Dave seemed to agree with the idea of the two being together. And so unbeknownst to April, she was set to marry him the day she turned 18. He was only a year older than her and came from working class family. They two had undeniable chemistry. As the year slowly crept by, her father was waiting anxiously for the day that the wedding would take place. Everything was figured out from the small party consisting of Steven, Roger, Hunter's parents, and a few witnesses from work and up to the day.
Although April thought highly of Hunter and did find him quite charming, marriage at 18 wasn't her idea of a fairy tale. Before she knew it her dad was asking her to put on her best dress and he was walking her down the aisle. Once there, April was puzzled as to why Hunter was late until his father walked in with a letter to April from Hunter. He acknowledged she was a sweet girl but he hardly knew here and did not want to be tied down to marriage at 19. With his sincerest apologies closing the letter, tears crawled down her face as realization hit her. No matter how much someone may seem to care about you or how much you cared about them, everyone was going to leave you in the end.
And so the wedding was off and April lived recluse in Raleigh until she decided she wanted out and to be free. She applied for college in Louisiana and never looked back, hoping to live a life away from everyone and anyone she knew and to get a fresh start. At first it was hard opening up to the idea of being with friends and others was a bit nerve-wrecking but she knew it was the only way to get a new start. And so she attends the university, still undecided, and waiting for a miracle to happen.

Renee was far from perfect as many people claim to be. But in reality, she made the best of it. Today she was headed to the Hospital Wing for her usual check up. Prosopagnosia was not easy to live with. Day in and day out she had to deal with people but she never dared look towards their face, in fear of looking askew and have them as questions. Renee could live without hearing or smelling or even talking for that matter. But to be not even fully blind, it was worse. Everyday she would wake up just fine. She could see everything perfectly except for the blur of faces. Hair, clothes, and everything else about a person she could see just fine. If it wasn't for that, Renee wouldn't be able to differentiate people at all. In some senses, it was okay but in others it was just annoying. She couldn't even look at her family the same anymore.
Still, she made the most she could of every other resource she had. As she closed in on the wing, she noticed a few speckles of blood here and there. Turning her head curiously backward, she noticed a few more spots. Oddly she hadn't taken notice to them earlier. She then came in and noticed a blond haired girl sitting on one of the beds upon entry. Renee, never one to be rude to a single soul simply smiled and walked in turning towards her direction, trying her best to make out where her hairline began and somewhat direct her eyes to guess where the girls would be. "Hello. It looks like you took a nasty spill." She said with her thick Russian accent, not sure how to start a conversation.
Renee always tried her best to move along normally each day with her facial recognition deficiency. She came bi-weekly to the Hospital Wing in case the head nurse, who's name escaped her at the moment, had heard any news on a new treatment Renee could possibly take to mend the injury she had sustained to the brain that had caused the problem. So far, nothing. The nurse always assured her that it would heal in its own time and she'd be back seeing everyone's smiling face when she least expected it. Sometimes, Renee even believed it herself. Only the nurse, her teachers, and her brother were the only ones who knew about her condition and thats the way she intended on keeping it. If people found out, she would have no clue what to do. The last thing she would want is another's pity over something they have no control over.
